Abstract

Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO) is deemed as an essential element for the success of small and medium enterprises (SME’s) in Nigeria in order to aid growth and development. This paper analyses the impact of EO and financial performance on SME’s in Nigeria using the following tools which include; competitive aggressiveness, innovativeness, risk-taking and proactiveness and from observation it can be seen that a positive impact exists when associated with SMEs development. This paper advises that more research should be considered on the different models identified to offer help for a united legitimacy. Overall, additional research is expected to explore the unique relationship between EO and monetary execution utilizing longitudinal information. Other execution factors that additionally merit some further exploration in the EO execution study include; incorporate learning direction, functional execution, imaginative execution and showcasing direction.
